Our World Class Uppsala network consists of about twenty of the city’s leading organizations and companies that together want to make a concrete difference – for us who live and work in Uppsala. And for people who want to come here and grow with us.
For eleven years, we have had the pleasure of providing financial support for events that put Uppsala on the map. Over SEK 50 million, spread over 200 events. Events that resonate both nationally and around the world. Since 2020, we also support socially beneficial initiatives. The purpose is to create faith in the future, community, and pride for Uppsala.

Welcome to apply for funding for your project. Whether you have an event or conference that puts Uppsala on the map, or an initiative that clearly contributes to concrete improvements in society, you can apply for a grant or financial support from us. Every year, up to 20 projects receive between SEK 50,000 – 500,000 to realize their visions
How do I apply for a grant or support?
You submit your application via a digital form on our website. Decide which category your project fits into:
– Events and conferences (support)
– Non-profit initiatives (grants)
– Invitations for proposals
Once we have received your application, we evaluate it based on a number of criteria that differ between the categories. Requirements for focus, sustainability, content and knowledge are some of the assessment criteria. We must receive your application no later than six months before implementation.
