World Class Uppsala

It takes resources to create something out of the ordinary. Our World Class Uppsala network consists of about twenty of the city’s leading organizations and companies that together want to make a difference ‒ for us who live and work in Uppsala. And for people who want to join us and grow with us.

For more almost 15 years, we have had the pleasure of providing financial support for events that put Uppsala on the map. Over SEK 50 million, spread over 200 events. Events that resonate both nationally and around the world. Since 2020, we also support socially beneficial initiatives, with the purpose to create faith in the future, community, and pride for Uppsala. Every year, up to 20 projects receive between SEK 50,000‒500,000 to contribute to World Class Uppsala. Welcome to apply for funding for your project.
